The same 35 hours. A fraction of the timeline.
The standard EECP protocol is 35 one-hour sessions. Most patients do one session per day, five days a week — which means seven weeks of daily treatment. That's the right approach for patients who are doing this at home and want to fit it into their normal life.
But for patients who are traveling to us, or who have a specific reason to complete treatment faster — a trip planned, a surgery window to beat, a spouse who can only be away for a limited time — the two-a-day protocol compresses the same 35 hours into 18 days.
Two sessions per day, morning and afternoon, with a break in between. The clinical outcome is the same. The timeline is dramatically shorter. And for patients who are already traveling to Melbourne, the economics often make more sense than seven weeks of weekly visits.

Clinical outcomes as the seven-week protocol
Five types of patients who choose the stay-and-treat option.
Patients traveling from outside Florida
If you're flying in from out of state, seven weeks of weekly visits isn't realistic. The stay-and-treat option lets you plan one trip, complete the full course, and go home. Most out-of-state patients choose this.
Patients with a time constraint
Surgery scheduled in six weeks. A trip you can't move. A work window that closes. The two-a-day protocol is how you get the full course done before the constraint hits.
Couples who want to finish fast
Two-a-day works especially well for couples. Both partners complete treatment in under three weeks, the return is symmetric, and you're done before most solo patients have hit their halfway point.
Patients who want certainty
Seven weeks of daily treatment requires sustained discipline. Some patients prefer the intensive model precisely because it removes the compliance variable — you're here, you're doing it, it's done.
Patients far from Melbourne who want in-clinic treatment
If you're in Miami or Broward and prefer not to wait for a local cluster, traveling to Melbourne for a three-week intensive is often faster and more cost-effective than waiting for area activation.
The practical logistics of a stay-and-treat course.
Initial call
We talk through your situation, confirm you're a candidate, and decide whether the two-a-day intensive or a standard schedule fits better. Most patients know within the first 10 minutes which they want.
Intake and scheduling
We coordinate your arrival date, schedule your sessions, and share the clinic address. We can recommend lodging options near the Melbourne clinic — hotels, short-term rentals, and extended-stay options depending on your preference and budget.
Treatment
Morning session, break, afternoon session. Each session is one hour. The break is typically 3–4 hours — enough time to eat, rest, walk, or explore Melbourne. Most patients find the rhythm comfortable by day three.
Completion
35 hours done. We provide a full treatment summary for your records and your cardiologist. Follow-up support is available. Most patients feel the effects building across the second and third weeks — and continue improving for weeks after the course ends.
About the location.
Our clinic is a private treatment space in Melbourne, Florida — on the Space Coast, about an hour south of Orlando and an hour north of Vero Beach. Exact address is shared during intake.
Melbourne has good hotel infrastructure for extended stays, including several extended-stay properties within a few miles of the clinic. We'll share specific recommendations when you book.
Couples stay-and-treat
The two-a-day intensive works especially well for couples. Both partners complete treatment on the same timeline, the return is symmetric, and you're done in under three weeks. No travel fee on couples visits — ever.
What to bring
Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing — you'll be on the treatment table for two one-hour sessions per day. Bring whatever you normally use to pass time: books, headphones, a tablet. Most patients read or watch something during sessions.
Call or text to talk through the logistics.
Tell us your city, your situation, and roughly when you'd want to come. We'll walk you through the schedule, the clinic, lodging options, and what the full cost looks like. Usually about 15 minutes.
